I discovered MammothMarch while searching for long, single day organized hikes I could do as part of my training for the UK C2C. MammothMarch started as a virtual hiking challenge during the pandemic, and has now grown into a series of in-person 20- and 30-mile, 1-day hikes (expected to be completed in 8 or 12 hours, respectively). They now have about 25 events annually, all over the US. Well, mostly in the east and midwest, plus one in Oregon and one in Texas. If anyone is reading from the MammothMarch organization — please organize more out west!
I completed my first MammothMarch in June 2026, and I’m looking forward to doing many more in the future.
