The UK Coast to Coast is a 192-mile walk across the north of England, from St Bees on the Irish Sea to Robin Hood’s Bay on the North Sea, passing through three national parks: the Lake District, the Yorkshire Dales, and the North York Moors. Originally documented in a book by Alfred Wainwright in 1973, it has officially become a National Trail as of March 26, 2026. I’ll be hiking it in August 2026.

This section of the site is a resource for anyone planning their own Coast to Coast, as well as a journal of my own journey.
